Green Press campaigned against the endeavours of the government to hold an international festival of the falcons. Pakistan is a signatory of the international conventions which prohibit trade, trafficking and illegal hunting of endangered species and Green Press viewed that the proposed festival a blatant violation of these instruments. • Three members of Green Press, Mudassir Rizvi, Zafarullah Khan and Ms. Uzma Haroon won the first-ever Green Journalists Awards of Federal Ministry of Environment.
  • Green Press prepared and publicized a list of government's major failures in implementation of environmental plans, policies and projects. The campaign was titled as, "Dirty Dozen."
  • Green Press launched a media campaigned for holding the long delayed meeting of Pakistan Environment Protection Council (PEPC).
  • Green Press opposed so-called Prime Minister Housing Scheme in the hearts of already over burdened urban centers and that too without any Environment Impact Assessment-mandated by country's green laws.
