First social sector news/feature agency launched

Green Press launched country's first social sector news/feature agency, Green Wire on June 5,1996. The Green Wire helped bring critical issues from margin to mainstream.

• United Nations Environment Program (UNEP)'s traveling photo exhibition, "Your World" was put on display in Islamabad by Green Press. UNEP's Regional Director for Asia & Pacific, Dr. Suvit Yodmani inaugurated it.
• Green Press arranged a one-day seminar on, "Environmental Information". The UNEP's Regional Information and Communication.
